    The authors study the \(C^*\)-algebra \(A\) which is a subalgebra of the bounded operators acting on \(L^2(T)\) over the unit circle \(T\), generated by the operators of multiplication by slowly oscillating and piecewise continuous functions and the operators of the form \(e_{h,\lambda}S_Te^{-1}_{h,\lambda}I\). Here, as usual, \(S_T\) stands for the Cauchy singular operator, \(e_{h,\lambda}(t)= \exp\{h\frac{t+\lambda}{t-\lambda}\}\), \(t\in T\setminus\{\lambda\}\). As the main result, the authors construct a symbol calculus for the \(C^*\)-algebra \(A\), providing a Fredholm theory based on the so-called local trajectory method.
