On solutions of a generalization of the Gołab-Schinzel equation (Q2494447)

Let \(X\) be a linear space over \(\mathbb{R}.\) Under certain assumptions, the author offers the general solutions \(f: X\to\mathbb{R},\; M: \mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) of the functional equation \(f(x+M[f(x)]y)=f(x)f(y)\;(x,y\in X)\) in terms of linear and of injective multiplicative (\(m(uv)=m(u)m(v);\; m:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R},\; u,v\in\mathbb{R}\)) functions.
