    Oscillation properties of the difference equation \[ \Delta \left( \frac{1}{a_{2}(n)}\left( \Delta \frac{1}{a_{1}(n)}\left( \Delta x(n)\right) ^{\alpha _{1}}\right) ^{\alpha _{2}}\right) +\delta q(n)f\left( x\left[ g(n)\right] \right) =0,\quad n=0,1,2,\dots, \] where \(\delta =\pm 1;\) \(\alpha _{1}\) and \(\alpha _{2}\) are quotients of positive odd integers; \(\left\{ a_{1}(n)\right\} ,\) \(\left\{ a_{2}(n)\right\} ,\) \(\left\{ q(n)\right\} \) are positive sequences such that \(\sum^{\infty }\left( a_{1}(n)\right) ^{1/\alpha _{1}}=\sum^{\infty }\left( a_{2}(n)\right) ^{1/\alpha _{2}}=+\infty ;\) \(f\) is continuous, \(xf(x)>0\) and \(f^{\prime }(x)\geq 0\) for \(x\neq 0;\) and \(\left\{ g(n)\right\} \) is nondecreasing sequence divergent to \(+\infty .\) Under various additional conditions, existence and nonexistence of positive solutions and monotone solutions are discussed.
