A non-linear Volterra equation of convolution type \[ u(t)=\int_0^t a(t-s)Au(s)\,ds+f(t)\, ,\quad t\geq0 \] is considered, where \(A\) is a closed linear operator on a Banach space \(X\). \textit{C. Lizama} introduced and studied in series of papers [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 243, No.~2, 278--292 (2000; Zbl 0952.45005); Integral Equations Oper. Theory 41, No.~2, 223--229 (2001; Zbl 1011.45006); joint with \textit{J. Sánchez}: Taiwanese J. Math. 7, No.~2, 217--227 (2003; Zbl 1051.45009)] \((a,k)\)-regularized resolvent family for non-decreasing positive functions \(k\in C([0,\infty))\) and \(a\in L_{\text{loc}}^1([0,\infty))\). It contains, as particular cases: integrated solution families for \(k(t)=t^\alpha/\Gamma(\alpha+1)\), resolvent families for \(k(t)\equiv1\), integrated semigroups and integrated cosine functions. The authors, based on their previous results on the strong and uniform convergence of regularized approximation process, study the approximation at \(0\) of an \((a,k)\)-regularized resolvent family \(R\,:\,[0,\infty)\rightarrow B(X)\), where \(B(X)\) is the Banach algebra of all bounded operators on \(X\).
