Let \(X\) be a quasi-projective variety with \(\pi_2(X)=\mathbb Z\). Let \(\text{Hol}^*_d(S^2,X)\) denote the space of holomorphic maps from \(S^2 \to X\) of degree \(d\). Let \(SP^d_n(X)\) be the subspace of the \(d\)-symmetric product consisting of formal sums with coefficients less than \(n\). Let \(\text{Hol}^n_d(S^2,\mathbb CP(m-1))=\text{Hol}^*_d(S^2,\mathbb CP(m-1)) \cap SP^d_n(\mathbb C)^m\). In a previous paper, the author described the homotopy type of \(\text{Hol}^n_d(S^2,\mathbb CP(m-1))\) up to certain dimensions in terms of the double loops on the \(m\)-fat wedge of \(\mathbb CP(n-1)\). In this paper, the author generalizes this result from \(\mathbb CP(m-1)\) to certain quasi-projective varieties \(X_m\). Again, he finds that \(\text{Hol}^n_d(S^2,X_m)\) may be homotopically described up to certain dimensions in terms of the double loops on --- this time --- the \(m\)-wedge of \(\mathbb CP(n-1)\).
