Locally \(C^*\)-algebras (also known as pro-\(C^*\)-algebras) are complete topological \(*\)-algebras whose topology is determined by their continuous \(C^*\)-seminorms. In this paper, both Rieffel's induction procedure and the imprimitivity theorem for Morita-equivalent \(C^*\)-algebras are generalized to the class of locally \(C^*\)-algebras. The concept of Morita equivalence itself had been previously carried into this wider context by the same author in [Bull.\ Lond.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 36, No.~6, 802--810 (2004; Zbl 1076.46047)].
