Let \((M,g)\) be a pseudo-Riemannian manifold of even dimension endowed with the Levi-Civita connection \(\nabla\). If \(J\) is an (almost) complex structure on \(M\) satisfying \(g(JX,JY)=-g(X,Y)\) whenever \(X\) and \(Y\) are vector fields on \(M\), then we say that the triple \((M,J,g)\) is an (almost) complex Norden manifold. If in addition \(\nabla J=0\), then \(J\) is necessarily integrable and \((M,J,g)\) is called a Kähler-Norden manifold. In this setting, the results of the paper under review concern a family of almost complex structures \(\widetilde{J}\) on a suitable open subset \(U\) of the tangent bundle \(TM\), as well as effective criteria for the integrability of these almost complex structures. The construction uses horizontal and vertical lifts. The same technique is then applied in order to construct pseudo-Riemannian metrics \(\widetilde{g}\) on \(U\subseteq TM\). The main theorems of the paper describe necessary and sufficient conditions for \((U,\widetilde{J},\widetilde{g})\) to be a Kähler-Norden manifold. The author also proves that if this is the case, then both metrics \(g\) and \(\widetilde{g}\) are necessarily flat.
