The aim of the present paper is to study regular polynomial endomorphisms of \(\mathbb C^k\), with emphasis on \(k=2\). The author proves several interesting results which, for the class of regular polynomial endomorphisms, mimic the corresponding behavior of rational maps in dimension one. In particular, the author proves that if the critical set of a regular polynomial endomorphism is disjoint from the set of bounded forward orbits, then this latter is a so called mixing repeller. Next, she considers endomorphisms as before with the property that the restriction of the map at the line at infinity is uniformly expanding on the Julia set of such a restriction. In such a case, the map satisfies Axiom A, and she proves that the endpoint map of Bedford and Jonsson exists for any external ray.
