Bring's curve is the closed Riemann surface of genus \(4\) defined by the algebraic curve (in affine coordinates) \[ y^5=(x+1)x^{2}(x-1)^{-1}, \] or equivalently, defined as the complete intersection in \({\mathbb P}^{4}\) of the three hypersurfaces \[ \sum_{j=1}^{5} z_{j}=0, \qquad \sum_{j=1}^{5} z_{j}^{2}=0, \qquad \sum_{j=1}^{5} z_{j}^{3}=0. \] This surface is the unique, up to biholomorphisms, closed Riemann surface of genus \(4\) admitting the symmetric group \({\mathcal S}_{5}\) as group of conformal automorphisms. In [\textit{G. Riera} and \textit{R. E. Rodríguez}, Pac. J. Math. 154, No. 1, 179--200 (1992; Zbl 0734.30036)], using the group of conformal automorphisms obtained that the Jacobian of Bring's curve is isogenous to the product of a \(4\)-fold product of a rhombic torus. In this article, the author relates Bring's curve to the stellated dodecahedron and uses a different approach (flat structures) in order to obtain the previous result.
