The paper is devoted to the diffraction problem of an electromagnetic field by a system of magnetodielectric and ideally conducting bodies. In more detail, it is considered the analysis of the diffraction problem for the Maxwell equations \[ \text{rot}\, \mu^{-1} \; \text{rot}\, E - k^2 \varepsilon E = (4\pi/c) i k j \] \[ \text{div}\, \varepsilon E = 0 \] in the domain \(\mathbb R^3\setminus \overline{Q}\), where \(Q\) is a domain of finite diameter filled with an ideally conducting body, and the current \(j\) (with a compact support) fulfils the condition \(\text{div}\, j = 0\;.\) In here, the permittivity and permeability tensors (\(\varepsilon\) and \(\mu\)) are Hermitian, positive definite, bounded and equal to the unit tensor outside some ball. Additionally, transmission and boundary conditions are imposed together with certain partial radiation conditions. In order to obtain the solvability of the problem, the author proposes the consideration of an equivalent interior boundary value problem with nonlocal boundary conditions. The used techniques are based on the introduction of function spaces in which similar boundary conditions are taken into account, and on certain embedding theorems for vector function spaces. The Riesz theorem, Fubini theorem, Rellich theorem, Nicolson formula, and Fredholm theory are also used in view of the final goal about the existence of a classical solution of the initial problem.
