The paper is devoted to the study of the integral equation \[ y(x)=f(x)+\sum^{n}_{i=1}g_i(x)\int_{S(x)}h_i\circ yd\mu_i,\eqno(1) \] in a measure space \((X,{\mathcal A},\mu_i)\), \(i=1,\dots ,n\). Here \(S\) is a function from \(X\) into \({\mathcal A}\), \(f\) and \(g_i\) \((i=1,\dots ,n)\) are real-valued functions on \(X\), and \(h_i\) are real-valued functions from subsets \(I_i\) of \({\mathbb R}\) for \(i=1,\dots ,n\). Two existence theorems for equation (1) are established provided that the integral operator in the right-hand side of (1) is increasing. The proofs of these results are based on the fixed point theorem generalizing the one by Amann; for example, see \textit{E. Zeidler} [Nonlinear functiobnsl analysis and its appications. I: Fixed-point theorems (1986; Zbl 0583.47050)]. Some applications are given. In this connection see \textit{L. Horvath} [Integral Equations Oper. Theory 45, No. 2, 155--176 (2003; Zbl 1031.45008)].
