Let \(G\) be a compact second countable group. A \(G\)-algebra is a pair \((A,\alpha)\) consisting of a \(\sigma\)-unital \(C^*\)-algebra and a representation, i.e., a strongly continuous homomorphism \(\alpha : G \to \Aut A\). For any two separable \(C^*\)-algebras \(A\) and \(B\) with continuous action of \(G\) by automorphisms (i.e. two \(G- C^*\)-algebras), the author shows that a reasonable notion of absorbing *-homomorphisms plays a key role and that there are enough such absorbing *-homomorphisms. The author then defines the \(C^*\)-algebra \({\mathcal A}^G_\pi\) such that the \(K\)-theory of it is isomorphic to the bivariant \(KK\)-theory: \( K_0({\mathcal A}^G_\pi) \cong KK^1(A,B)\) and \(K_1({\mathcal A}^G_\pi) \cong KK^0(A,B)\).
