A finite element homogenization model is proposed for modelling elasto-voscoplastic behavior and texture evolution in a polycrystal subject to finite strains. The technique utilizes macro-micro linking techniques obtained from the homogenization theory. The model is found to be capable of predicting non-homogeneous stress and deformation fields in 2D and 3D microstructures. The proposed technique is applied to identify optimal strain rates in single and multi-stage processes that would lead to a desired microstructure response.
