This paper is concerned with the weak solution for the relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell equations with boundary conditions when the light speed goes to infinite. Convergence of smooth solutions for the Vlasov-Maxwell equations toward a weak solution for the Vlasov-Poisson equations for time periodic boundary value problem is analyzed. The a priori estimates for \(T\)-periodic solutions of the Vlasov-Maxwell system when the light speed is fixed are established; it is shown that these estimates are uniform with respect to the light speed, and then the weak convergence toward a \(T\)-periodic weak solution for the classical Vlasov-Poisson equations is discussed. Finally, some remarks concerning other kinematic models are made, and results concerning orthogonal decomposition into irrotational and rotational parts are summarized. Under certain conditions, using the energy conservation law, it is verified that for regular \(T\)-periodic solutions of the Vlasov-Maxwell system, the total energy is uniformly bounded with respect to \(t\) and \(c\). This is a well written paper which should be of interest to some one interested in conservation laws and their weak solutions.
