The authors deal with Dirichlet boundary conditions for the Laplace equation in a domain \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^2\) with corners. Let \(m+1\) be the number of non-convex angles of the boundary of \(\Omega\). Let \(\overline\omega\) be a nonempty subdomain of \(\Omega\). The authors prove that there exiss \(m+1\) regular functions \((h_i)_{0\leq i\leq m}\) with compact support on \(\overline\omega\) such that the equation \[ -\Delta w= f-\sum^m_{i=0} c_i g_i\quad\text{in }\Omega \] has a unique solution \(w\) in \(H^2(\Omega)\) for any \(f\in L^2(\Omega)\), if \(c_i\), \(i= 0,1,\dots, m\) are the singularity coefficients of problem \(-\Delta v= f\) in \(\Omega\). They also prove that if \(\Gamma_0\) is an arbitrarily small open subset of the boundary \(\Gamma\) of \(\Omega\), then there exists \(m+1\) regular functions \(g_i\), \(i= 0,\dots, m\) with compact support in \(\Gamma_0\) such that \[ -\Delta w= f\quad\text{in }\Omega,\quad w= \sum^m_{i=0} c_i g_i\quad\text{on }\Gamma, \] has a unique solution in \(H^2(\Omega)\).
