The author considers a codimension one singular foliation \(F\) given by a germ of holomorphic 1-form on \( \mathbb{C}^{n+1}\), \[ \omega = f_1(\overline{z},w) \,d z_1 + \ldots + f_n(\overline{z},w) \,d z_n + g(\overline{z},w) \,dw, \] where \(f_1, \ldots, f_n, g \in \mathbb{C} \{\overline{z},w\}\). The main result he proves is that if \(\omega \) and \(F\) are as above, and \(g(\overline{0},w)\) vanishes at the order \(k \neq 0\), at \(0\), then, up to analytic change of the \(w\)-coordinate, the foliation is also defined by a \(1\)-form \[ \omega' = p_1(\overline{z},w) \,d z_1 + \ldots + p_n(\overline{z},w) \,d z_n + q(\overline{z},w) \,d w, \] for \(w\)-polynomials \(p_1, \ldots, p_n, q \in \mathbb{C} \{\overline{z}\}[w]\) of degree \(\leq k\), with \(q\) monic. This is a remarkable result which allows him, to derive a short proof of a Preparation Theorem given by Levison in 1960-61, which presents some differences from that by Weierstrass. Also applying the main result, interesting consequences for other cases are obtained. For nondegenerated singularities of vector fields, it is proved that whenever \(X\) is a germ of vector field vanishing at the origin of \(\mathbb{R}^2\) or of \(\mathbb{C}^2\), and if its linear part is not radial, then there exist local analytic coordinates \((x,y)\) such that \(X= (y+f(x)) \partial_x + g(x) \partial_y\), where \(f,g \in \mathbb{R}\{x\}\), (respectively \(f,g \in \mathbb{C}\{x\}\)) vanish at \(0\). Finally, from this result, the author is able of providing a normal form for vector fields in the case when the eigenratio of the germ \(X\) is real and nonpositive. Recall that the remaining case is well known after a result by Poincaré and Dulac. This normal form recovers and improves results by other authors. Indeed, the author proves that if the eigenratio is in \(\mathbb{R}^-\), then there exist analytic coordinates such that in the saddle case \(X=f(x+y)[(rx\partial_x +sy \partial_y)+g(x+y)(x\partial_x +y \partial_y)]\), in the saddle-node case \(X=f(x)[(rx+y)\partial_x +g(x)y \partial_y]\) and in the real center case \(X=f(x)[(-ry\partial_x +rx \partial_y)+g(x)(x\partial_x +y \partial_y)]\), where \(r\) and \(s\) are the eigenvalues, \(f(0)=1\) and \(g(0)=0\).
