Recall that a function \(f:\mathbb R\rightarrow\mathbb R\) is quasi continuous at a point \(x \in\mathbb R\) if for each \(\varepsilon > 0\) and for each neighborhood \(U\) of \(x\) there is a nonempty open set \(G \subset U\) such that \(f(G) \subset (f(x)-\varepsilon, f(x) + \varepsilon)\). If \(Q(f)\) and \(C(f)\) denote the sets of quasi-continuity and continuity points of \(f\) then it is well known that \(Q(f) \backslash C(f)\) is a set of first category but it needs not to be measurable or of measure zero. In this paper, following the line of investigations of Z. Grande, the author considers certain sets corresponding to a function, which are constructed by using the notions of upper and lower outer density and also using the concepts of continuity and quasi-continuity in a certain restricted sense. He then mainly investigates these sets and their inter-relationships which provides very interesting observations.
