The second-order differential equation \[ (p(t)x'(t))'+\sum_{i=0}^n q_i(t)f_i(x(t),x(h_i(t)))=0\tag{1} \] on the interval \([0,1]\) is considered. The authors present criteria under which equation (1) has a positive solution satisfying the boundary conditions \[ x'(1)=\int\limits_0^1 x'(s)dg_1(s),\qquad x(0)=\int\limits_0^1 x'(s)dg_2(s). \] Unfortunately, the strict inequalities assumed in Theorems 2--4 exclude each other provided the conditions \((H_1)\)--\((H_5)\), \((H_k)\), and \((H_n)\) imposed on the input functions \(p\), \(q_i\), \(f_i\), \(h_i\), and \(g_j\) hold. Therefore, the results are not applicable.
