The authors deal with bifurcation problems of the following boundary value problem \[ -\text{div}(a(|\nabla_x u|)\nabla_x u)=\lambda g(u),\quad x\in\Omega,\quad u= 0,\quad x\in\partial\Omega,\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega\) is an open, bounded subset of \(\mathbb{R}^1\), with smooth boundary, \(a\in C^1([0,\infty))\), \(a(st)\leq Ca(s)\,a(t)\), \(\forall s,t\in (0,\infty)\) for some positive constant \(C\), \(\lambda\in\mathbb{R}\), \(g\in C(\mathbb{R})\). Using Ljusternik-Schnirelmann theory the authors show the existence of infinitely many nontrivial solutions of (1).
