Let \(X_n=\{1,2,\dots,n\}\) and \(PT_n\) denote the semigroup of all partial transformations on \(X_n\). Fix \(k>0\). For a partition \(\tau\) of \(n-k\) let \(S(\tau)\) be the subsemigroup of \(PT_n\), generated by all transformations whose kernels are partitions of type \(\tau\) of an \(n-k\)-element subset of \(X_n\) (abusing the language we will call the latter simply ``partitions of \(X_n\) of type \(\tau\)''). In the paper under review the author shows that (under a mild restriction on \(\tau\)) the minimal numbers of generators, of nilpotent generators and of idempotent generators of \(S(\tau)\) are all equal to the number of partitions of \(X_n\) of type \(\tau\).
