In [J. Approximation Theory 130, No. 2, 179--189 (2004; Zbl 1065.41022)] the author has introduced three types of vector-valued rational interpolants. The interpolation points may coincide in which case one gets Hermite interpolation. In the present paper, some algebraic properties of these interpolants are proved. With appropriate conditions, it is proved that the interpolants are unique, that they are symmetric with respect to the interpolation data, i.e., that they do not depend on the ordering of the interpolation data, and that they are reproducing, i.e., that if they interpolate a rational function of the same degree, they will reproduce that function.
