An approximate fibration is a proper mapping that satisfies a version of the homotopy lifting property. A fibrator is a manifold \(N\) so that a map whose point inverses have the shape of \(N\) is an approximate fibration. This paper introduces a class of manifolds called special manifolds which have some of the properties of a fibrator. With various technical assumptions these manifolds are shown to be fibrators.
