Bounds for the cup-length of Poincaré spaces and their applications (Q2502952)

The main result is a general theorem that gives upper bounds and lower bounds for the cup-lenth and the Lusternik-Schnirelmann category of Poincaré complexes. The author then applies his result to obtain explicit approximations for the cup-length and the category of the Grassmann manifolds \(G_{n,k}, n\geq 2\), \(k\geq 6\).
