A map~\(f:[-1,1]\to [-1,1]\) is called a Lorenz-like map, if it is continuous and strictly increasing on~\([-1,0)\) and on~\((0,1]\), and if \(\lim_{x\to 0^{-}}f(x)=1\) and \(\lim_{x\to 0^{+}}f(x)=-1\). The author considers Lorenz-like maps which are \(C^{1+\alpha}\) on~\([-1,1]\setminus\{0\}\) and have unbounded derivative at~\(0\). Moreover, it is assumed that \(\{f^{-k}(0):k\geq 0\}\) is dense in~\([-1,1]\), that \(c_{1}| x| ^{\lambda -1}\leq | f^{\prime}(x)| \leq c_{2}| x| ^{\lambda -1}\) for some~\(0<\lambda<\frac{1}{2}\) and some~\(c_{1},c_{2}>0\), and that there are \(c_{3},l>0\) such that \(| (f^{n})^{\prime}(x)| >c_{3}e^{nl}\) for all~\(n\) and all~\(x\). Suppose that \(\mu\) is an \(f\)-invariant measure which is mixing and absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure. The decay of correlations is the rate how quick \(| \int\psi (\varphi\circ f^{n})\,d\mu - (\int\psi\,d\mu )(\int\varphi\,d\mu )| \) tends to zero as \(n\) tends to~\(\infty\). For different classes of functions satisfying some weak regularity conditions (i.e.\ how quick \(\sup\{| \psi (x)-\psi (y)| :| x-y| \leq \varepsilon\}\) tends to zero as \(\varepsilon\to 0\)) results on the decay of correlations are proved.
