The author applies methods from previous works by himself and in collaboration with S. Winter [see e.g. \textit{L. Olsen}, Good and bad points. Real Anal. Exch. Suppl., 26th Summer Symp. Conf. Rep., 121--151 (2002; Zbl 1101.37003)], to obtain a significant generalization of the result by \textit{W. Li} and \textit{F. M. Dekking} [Nonlinearity 16, No.~1, 187--199 (2003; Zbl 1048.28005)] on the Hausdorff dimension of subsets of self-similar sets with prescribed asymptotic frequencies of groups of digits in their codings. In that setting, the author finds dimension formulae for subsets of points such that the accumulation set of the limiting frequencies of digits in their codings are sandwiched between two prescribed sets of probability vectors.
