A presentation of the group \(\text{Sl}_*(2,A)\), \(A\) a simple Artinian ring with involution. (Q2505221)

Let \(A\) be a simple Artinian ring with involution, \(J=\left(\begin{smallmatrix} 0 &1\\ -1&0\end{smallmatrix}\right)\), \(\text{SL}_*(2,A)=\{g\in\text{GL}(2,A):g^*Jg=J\}\). A presentation of the group \(\text{SL}_*(2,A)\) is given in terms of the following generators: the diagonal matrices \(h_t=\left(\begin{smallmatrix} t &0\\ 0&t^{*-1}\end{smallmatrix}\right)\) with \(t\in\text{GL}(1,A)\), the elementary matrices \(u_b=\left(\begin{smallmatrix} 1 &b\\ 0&1\end{smallmatrix}\right)\) with \(b=b^*\in A\), the matrix \(\omega=J\).
