The authors consider the scattering of plane time-harmonic electromagnetic waves propagating in a homogeneous chiral environment by a periodic perfectly conducting structure. The structure is periodic in \(x_1\)-direction and invariant in \(x_3\)-direction. The authors first simplify the problem to a two-dimensional scattering problem. Then, they discuss the existence and uniqueness of the scattering problem by a boundary integral equation method.
