The author proves that the right spread order is closed under increasing convex transformations and under random maxima. These results essentially duplicate some results and proofs of \textit{S. C. Kochar, X. Li}, and \textit{M. Shaked} [Adv. Appl. Probab. 34, No. 4, 826--845 (2002; Zbl 1031.62086)] and of \textit{X. Li} and \textit{M. J. Zuo} [Nav. Res. Logist. 51, No. 3, 332--344 (2004; Zbl 1055.60008)].
