The author extends the results concerned with multiplicative Schwarz algorithm, for the Galerkin boundary element method, from a previous paper [cf. \textit{M. Maischak, E. P. Stephan} and \textit{T. Tran}, SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 38, No. 4, 1243--1268 (2000; Zbl 0980.65139)], to the \(p\)-version Galerkin boundary element method in 3D. In this sense he derives estimates for the extremal eigenvalues of the additive Schwarz operator, together with a strenghtened Cauchy-Schwarz inequality for the \(p\)-version of the weakly singular integral equation.
