This paper deals with the Cauchy problem for a system of two cubic quasilinear Klein-Gordon equations with two different masses \(m_1, m_2\) in the one space dimensional case. The initial data are \(\varepsilon >0\) small, compactly supported and sufficiently smooth. The authors define appropriate null conditions satisfied by the nonlinear right-hand side of the system in several cases: \(m_1\neq m_2\), \(m_1\neq 3m_2\), \(3m_1\neq m_2\), \(m=3m_2\) and \(m_1=m_2\). Under the fulfillment of the null condition and for \(0<\varepsilon<\varepsilon_0\ll 1\) it is proved the existence of a unique global in time solution of the Cauchy problem under consideration. The solution has a linear growth at infinity. The results proposed here extend some theorems of Sunagawa shown in the nonresonance case to the resonance one.
