The set \(\mathcal P\) of \(p\)-groups with the title property is partitioned into two subsets \(\mathcal Q\) and \(\mathcal S\). \(\mathcal Q\) is the set of those members of the set \(\mathcal P\), all of whose nonabelian subgroups are two-generator, and \(\mathcal S=\mathcal P-\mathcal Q\). In two theorems the members of the sets \(\mathcal Q\) and \(\mathcal S\) are classified. Minimal nonabelian members of the set \(\mathcal P\) have equal order. The classification of the nonabelian \(p\)-groups in which Z\((G)\) coincides with the center of any of its minimal nonabelian subgroups remains open.
