This note is an appendix to [\textit{W. Winter}, ibid. 692, 193--231 (2014; Zbl 1327.46058)]. It provides technical results that combine with the main result of [loc.\,cit.]\ to prove the following result. Theorem. Let \(\mathcal A\) denote the class of simple, separable, unital, nuclear, \(\mathcal Z\)-stable \(C^*\)-algebras \(A\) such that (i) \(A\) satisfies the UCT, (ii) \(A\) has locally finite decomposition rank, (iii) the projections of \(A\) separate its traces, and (iv) the torsion-part of the \(K\)-theory of \(A\) is finitely generated. Then \(\mathcal A\) is classified by the Elliott invariant, in the following sense: if \(A,B \in \mathcal A\) are \(C^*\)-algebras, then \(A \cong B\) if and only if \((K_0(A),K_0(A)_+,[1_A]_0,K_1(A),T(A),\rho_A:K_0(A)\times T(A) \to \mathbb R) \cong (K_0(B),K_0(B)_+,[1_B]_0,K_1(B),T(B),\rho_B:K_0(B) \times T(B) \to \mathbb R)\).
