``Introduction to noncommutative algebra'' is a very well written book and it is very pleasant to read. The author concentrates mainly on algebras. For this study he introduces necessary ring theoretic notions. The book consists of seven chapters. The first two chapters deal with finite dimensional algebras. In the third chapter modules and vector spaces over division rings are introduced. In the fourth chapter tensor product of vector spaces and tensor product of algebras are introduced. In Chapter 5 primitive rings and the Jacobson radical of a ring are studied. The Jacobson density theorem is also proved. Rings with polynomial identities are studied in Chapter 6. The final chapter deals with the study of classical rings of quotients and Martindale rings of quotients. I was very much impressed by the lists of exercises given at the end of each chapter as some of the exercises are not found in standard texts on ring theory.
