A result analogous to the classical Zariski decomposition on smooth projective surfaces can be obtained for pseudo-effective classes on compact hyperkähler manifolds, as was shown by \textit{S. Boucksom} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 37, No. 1, 45--76 (2004; Zbl 1054.32010)]. The authors refine this result as follows. For a pseudo-effective divisor~\(D\) on a compact hyperkähler manifold~\(X\), they give a constructive proof for Boucksom's decomposition of~\(D\). Furthermore, they show that \(D\) also admits a Zariski decomposition in the sense of \textit{T. Fujita} (cf. [J. Math. Soc. Japan 38, 19--37 (1986; Zbl 0627.14031)]) under an additional condition on~\(X\) which is always satisfied if \(X\) is projective. In the course of their argument, the authors also prove termination of flops between projective hyperkähler manifolds. This yields some criteria for the existence of Lagrangian fibrations on bimeromorphic models of projective hyperkähler manifolds.
