The propagation of shear waves (SH) waves is studied in an homogeneous isotropic medium. The solution of the formulated problem is obtained for semi-infinite media. The authors present the dispersion equation of phase velocity in homogeneous media when the initial stress is missing. The velocities of SH waves are calculated numerically and simulations are provided.
