The \(p\)-adic local Langlands correspondence for \(\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)\) defined by \textit{P. 281--509 (2010; Zbl 1218.11107)] is given by an exact functor from unitary Banach representations of \(\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)\) to representations of the absolute Galois group \({ \mathcal G}_{{\mathbb Q}_p}\) of \({\mathbb Q}_p\). In this paper, the authors describe how this functor acts on a certain type of representations. More specifically, let \(L\) be a finite extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_p\). Let \(\mathrm{Ban}^{\mathrm{adm}}_G(L)\) be the category of admissible unitary \(L\)-Banach representations of \(G\). A representation \(\Pi \in \mathrm{Ban}^{\mathrm{adm}}_G(L)\) is called absolutely irreducible if \(\Pi \otimes_L L'\) is topologically irreducible for any finite extension \(L'\) of \(L\). We say that \(\Pi\) is ordinary if it is a subquotient of a unitary parabolic induction of a unitary character. Let \({\mathbf V}(\Pi)\) denote the representation of \({\mathcal G}_{{\mathbb Q}_p}\) associated to \(\Pi\). The authors prove that the functor \(\Pi \mapsto {\mathbf V}(\Pi)\) induces a bijection between the isomorphism classes of: {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize} \item[-] absolutely irreducible non-ordinary \(\Pi \in \mathrm{Ban}^{\mathrm{adm}}_G(L)\), \item [-] two-dimensional absolutely irreducible continuous \(L\)-representations of \({\mathcal G}_{{\mathbb Q}_p}\). \end{itemize}} This was known for \(p \geq 5\) by the work of the third author [Publ. Math., Inst. Hautes Étud. Sci. 118, 1--191 (2013; Zbl 1297.22021)].
