The authors propose a continuation method for solving nonlinear equations in a Banach space, based on a simple convex combination of Chebyshev's method and the convex acceleration of Newton's method. Under the Hölder continuity condition of the first Fréchet derivative they establish the semi-local convergence and a criterion of convergence order of the proposed method. Furthermore, they show that their assumption is milder than the classic Lipschitz condition. An existence and uniqueness theorem is also provided. Two numerical examples are used to illustrate the performance of their method. However, it would be more useful if a real world problem could be discussed.
