A regularity result for the complex Monge-Ampère equation on compact Kähler manifolds with non-negative orthogonal bisectional curvature is proven. Suppose \((M, \omega )\) is such a manifold and \(f>0\) satisfies \[ \inf _M \Delta f^{\frac{1}{m-1} }\geq -A. \] Then the solution \(u\in C^4 (M)\) of the Monge-Ampère equation \[ (\omega +dd^c u)^n = f\omega ^n \] has its Laplacian bounded by a constant depending on \(\omega\), \(A\), \(\sup f\). Compared to a theorem by \textit{Z. Błocki} [Math. Ann. 344, No. 2, 317--327 (2009; Zbl 1167.32023)] the assumption on \(\Delta f\) is slightly weaker here, whereas Błocki has no restriction on the curvature of \(M\) (but the constant then depends on the curvature). As an application of his result the author obtains a partial extension of the statement from \textit{L. Caffarelli} et al. [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 38, 209--252 (1985; Zbl 0598.35048)]. In a strictly pseudoconvex domain \(\Omega \) he considers the Dirichlet problem \[ (dd^c u )^n = f\, dV \] with zero boundary condition and the following assumptions on \(f\): \( f\geq 0\), \(|\nabla f^{1/m} |<A\), \(\Delta f^{\frac{1}{m-1} }\geq -A\). Then the Laplacian of \(u\) is bounded by a constant depending on \(\Omega\), \(A\), \(\sup f\).
