    The authors study the uniqueness of solutions of the nonlocal fractional parabolic Cauchy problem \(\rho \partial_tu + (-\Delta)^s u = 0\) in \(\mathbb R^N \times (0,T] = S_T\), \(u=0\) in \(\mathbb R^N \times \{0\} \), \(s \in (0,1)\). They assume that \(\rho\) is a positive continuous function such that \(\rho(x) \geq (1+ | x | ^2)^{-\alpha}, \forall x \in \mathbb R^N\), for some constants \(K>0\) and \(\alpha \in \mathbb R\). Sufficient conditions on \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) so that this Cauchy problem has a unique solution in the weighted Lebesgue space \( L^p_\psi (S_T)\), \(\psi(x) = (1+ | x |^2)^{-\beta/2}\) are provided. Uniqueness results for the elliptic equation \( (-\Delta)^su + c \rho u =0\) in \(\mathbb R^N\), where \(c\) a continuous nonnegative function are also obtained.
