For the equation named in the title, along with initial and first kind boundary conditions, the authors consider an approximate solution method taking the two fractional derivatives in the Caputo sense. Using the known fractional derivatives of powers of \(x\), they propose a Legendre pseudo-spectral approximation to convert the original problem into a system of ordinary differential equations coupled to a system of linear algebraic equations. For this approach, they prove an error estimate. The coupled system is then solved using the Euler backward scheme. Several numerical examples show the viability of the proposed method.
