Let \(L\) be an Abelian octic field of the form \(L=Kk\), where \(K\) is a cyclic quartic field of prime conductor \(\ell\), and \(k\) is a quadratic field of discriminant \((-1)^{(p-1)/2}p\) with \(p\neq\ell\) being a prime. The authors show that \(L\) is monogenic only in the following four cases: \(Q(\zeta_n)\) for \(n=15,20\), \(Q^+(\zeta_{40})\), and \(Q(\zeta_{40}-\zeta_{40})\), \(\zeta_n\) being the \(n\)-th primitive root of unity.
