In this paper, the author studies modules \(M\) with the property that every automorphism of every submodule of \(M\) is extendable to an endomorphism of \(M\). He calls a module \(M\) with this property an automorphism-extendable (a.e. in short in this review) module. The author investigates conditions under which an a.e. module is strongly a.e., that is, every automorphism of every submodule of \(M\) is extendable to an automorphism of \(M\). This is the content of his three main theorems. In Theorem 1, he proves that if \(R\) is a prime ring with ACC on left annihilators then every a.e. right \(R\)-module which is not singular is strongly a.e. In Theorem 2, he proves that if \(R\) is a bounded, hereditary, Noetherian, prime ring then a right \(R\)-module is a.e. if and only if it is strongly a.e. Finally, in Theorem 3, he proves that for an invariant (usually called duo), hereditary, Noetherian domain, the notions of a.e. module, strongly a.e. module, skew-injective module, completely integrally closed module are all equivalent. The author also proves, in Theorem 4, that over a prime ring with ACC on left annihilators, an automorphism-invariant right \(R\)-module, that is not singular, is injective. -- To prove these theorems the author proves series of propositions. To conclude, I add the following observation. In proving (4) implies (2) in Proposition 1.9, the author seems to use Lemma 9 of his own paper [Discrete Math. Appl. 21, No. 4, 477-497 (2011); translation from Diskretn. Mat. 23, No. 3, 120-137 (2011; Zbl 1251.16004)] instead of Lemma 1.8(1) as he says though both the conditions are equivalent.
