    This paper present a local error analysis of the discontinuous Galerkin method applied for following convection-diffusion problem \[ a \nabla u - \Delta u = f(x,y), \qquad (x,y)\in \Omega = (-1,1)^{2}, \] with the Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions \[ u= u_{D} \quad \text{on }\partial \Omega_{D}, \qquad \frac{\partial u}{\partial n}=u_{N} \quad \text{on } \partial \Omega_{N}, \] where the boundary \( \partial\Omega = \partial \Omega_{D}\cup \partial \Omega_{N}\). The approximate scheme for this problem is constructed on a rectangular mesh using the right and left Radau polynomials, defined through the system of Legendre polynomials on \( [-1,1]\). The behavior of the a posteriori error is shown by the numerical results of four concrete examples.
