In this paper, nonnegativity conditions on the curvature operator are considered which lie in between the assumption of non-negative Ricci curvature and non-negative curvature operator. This condition is defined by a cone \(\mathcal{C}\) in the space of algebraic curvature operators. Under some mild assumption on the scalar curvature of the Ricci flow it is shown that the \(\mathcal{C}\)-curvature of a solution of the Ricci flow can be bounded from below. As an application one can link Gromov-Hausdorff convergence and Ricci flow convergence for a given bound for \(\mathcal{C}\) provided the limit is smooth.
