Mazur's Problem \(8\) in the Scottish Book poses the question: Is the Mazur product map \(c \boxtimes c \rightarrow c\) defined by \((x \boxtimes y)_n:= \frac{1}{n+1}\sum_{i=0}^n x_i y_{n-i}\) for \(x=(x_n)\) and \(y=(y_n)\) in \(c\) (the space of all convergent scalar sequences) onto? As shown by several authors independently in the 1980's, the answer is negative. The article under review deals with similar questions for the Mazur product map defined on certain Hardy-type sequence spaces, giving once again negative answers. Furthermore, the results admit an alternative solution of Mazur's Problem \(8\). The proofs involve Paley's inequality and other techniques.
