The authors study the Kähler-Einstein metric on \(\mathbb{P}^2\) blown up at three points (which they call ``third Del Pezzo surface'' and denote by \(dP^3\)) by means of numerical approximations. Three different algorithms are discussed. The first two use Ricci flow, motivated by the fundamental convergence result of \textit{G. Tian} and \textit{X.-H. Zhu} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 20, No.~3, 675--699 (2007; Zbl 1185.53078)]. The third algorithm attacks directly the Monge-Ampère equation. Other numerical investigations of Kähler-Einstein geometry are contained in [\textit{S. K. Donaldson}, Pure. Appl. Math. Q. 5, 571--618 (2009) and \textit{J. Keller}, Ricci iterations on Kähler classes, to appear in J. Math. Jussieu (2009)].
