The author shows that there exist an isometric Lagrangian immersion of a horocycle of the hyperbolic plane in the complex plane \(\mathbb C^2\). In order to do so, he takes the halfplane representation of the hyperbolic plane, introduces the components of the second fundamental form (4 arbitrary functions) and calculates the Gauss equation (1 relation between the 4 functions) and the system of differential equations from the Codazzi equation (3 partial differential equations). An explicit solution to this system is given. The same technique, but now with 10 unknown arbitrary functions, is also used to show that there exist an isometric immersion of an arbitrary horoball of the hyperbolic space in \(\mathbb C^3\).
