The paper is devoted to a mixed problem in \(\mathbb{R}^2\) with periodic boundary conditions for the micro-polar fluid equations \[ \begin{gathered} \partial_t u- (\nu+ \nu_\tau)\Delta u+(u\cdot\nabla) u+\nabla p= 2\nu_\tau\text{rot\,}\omega+ f,\;\text{div\,}u= 0,\\ \partial_t\omega- \alpha\Delta\omega+ (u\cdot\nabla)\omega+ 4\nu_\tau\omega= 2\nu_\tau\text{rot\,}u+ g.\end{gathered} \] Here \(f\) and \(g\) are given, \(\nu\), \(\nu_\tau\) and \(\alpha\) are viscosity coefficients. In a former paper the author proved the existence of strong solutions. The goal of the present paper is to show a regularity result for the strong solutions which in a short form reads as follows: ``If we assume a global in time strong solution and if the external forces \(f\) and the momentum \(g\) are time-independent and belong to a Gevrey type space of order \(1/2\), then for all \(t\in(T_*,\infty)\) the solution is analytic in \(t\) with values in a Sobolev-Gevrey space of order \(1/2\).'' First the author introduces the functional-analytic setting in the Gevrey frame. The proof of the main regularity result bases on Galerkin approximation scheme. So on the one hand a-priori estimates, regularity of the approximations, and on the other hand a limit procedure should be understood. In the final section the author present some properties of these Gevrey solutions, among other things he shows, that ``nodal values'' determine in a unique way the elements of the global attractor for the semigroup \(\{S(t)\}_{t\geq 0}\) associated with the micro-polar fluid system.
