Let \(S_X\) be the unit sphere of \(X\). Recall that a Banach space \(X\) is transitive if for each \(x\in S_X\), the orbit \({\mathcal G}_X(x)=\{T(x)\mid T:X\to X\) isometric isomorphism\} is equal to \(S_X\). If \(\overline{{\mathcal G}_X(x)}=S_X\) for every \(x\in S_X\), the space \(X\) is said to be almost transitive. At last, when \(\overline{\text{conv}({\mathcal G}_X(x))}=S_X\) for every \(x\in S_X\), the space \(X\) is said to be convex-transitive. It is well-known that \(L^p([0,1])\) is almost transitive when \(1\leq p<\infty\) and that \(L^\infty([0,1])\) is convex-transitive. Actually, \(L^2([0,1])\) is transitive and it is still a classical open problem to know whether it is the only one (isometrically) among the separable (infinite-dimensional) Banach spaces. See [\textit{J. Becerra Guerrero} and \textit{A. Rodríguez-Palacios}, Extr. Math. 17, No.~1, 1--58 (2002; Zbl 1006.46007)] for a survey on the subject. In the paper under review, the author extends these results to Banach space valued function spaces. More precisely, he shows that, when \(X\) is convex-transitive, the space \(L^p([0,1],X)\) and the (closed) subspace of \(L^\infty([0,1],X)\) spanned by the simple functions are convex-transitive as well. Section 2 studies the convex transitivity of \(C_0(L,X)\), where \(L\) is a locally compact Hausdorff space. Some implications of the transitivity conditions of \(C_0(L,X)\) for the topology of \(L\) are studied (Theorem 2.4). On the other hand, Theorem 2.5 states that when \(C_0(L,X)\) is convex-transitive and \(X\) is strictly convex, then the space \(X\) is necessarily convex-transitive. Conversely, \(C_0(L,X)\) is convex-transitive, as soon as \(X\) is an infinite dimensional Hilbert space. Finally, the author presents some new concrete examples of convex-transitive spaces.
