Embedding theorems and multidimensional splines (Q2518811)

In the first part of the paper, the author recalls some results regarding the hyperplanes in the Banach space of complex valued functions depending of \(n\) real variables. In the second part, the previous results are extended to arbitrary subsets of the real \(n\)-dimensional space. Following these ideas, he gives a new definition of a multidimensional spline which implies the existence of an optimal extension and the task to compute the latter. An example for the space of complex valued functions depending of two real variables is given.
